2014 Avant Music Festival: Alvin Lucier

As part of the 2014 Avant Music Festival, Joan La Barbara premieres a new spoken word piece by Alvin Lucier, Palmpest (2014). In the mold of his landmark I Am Sitting In A Room, with Palmpest a speaker re-records the text of Lydia Davis' IF AT THE WEDDING (AT THE ZOO) over itself repeatedly creating layers of intelligibility.
