Viva Voce Winds presents works by three Staten Island composers, James Corwin, Michael Sirotta and Barbara Wesby, with the composers present to discuss their works.
Michael Sirotta has composed, directed, and performed music for concerts and theatrical productions around the world. He has worked with symphony orchestras, avant-garde chamber music ensembles, African village drummers, opera companies, dancers and singers of the Lakota (Sioux) nation. He is on the faculty at the College of Staten Island and lectures on world music.
The members of the ensemble are: Susan Carlson, flute; Peggy Wiltrout, oboe; James Corwin, clarinet; David Miller, bassoon; Carolyn Clark, horn.
