Three-time Emmy-nominated composer/pianist Steve Sandberg plays original music that blends classical, world music and jazz with the excitement of virtuosic improvisation. He has toured internationally with Bebel Gilberto, Dr. L. Subramaniam, David Byrne, Ruben Blades, Mario Rivera and Tito Puente. Most recently, he was nominated for three Emmy Awards for his work as musical director and composer for Nickelodeon's "Dora the Explorer" and "Go, Diego, Go!" At this concert, he will play a program including works by Ravel, Debussy, Liszt, and his original compositions (and improvisations) based on these works. There will also be an exhibit of his original artwork after the concert.
